Jessica and I have been working on a YouTube series with all the basic movements from our classes. We have called it Belly Minute.

With so many of our ladies wanting to practice at home, we decided it might be helpful to record the important aspect’s of a movement, so that there is an easy reference for them to look up.

Jessica and I take turns to bring you all the basic moves. We upload a new one every week.

You can subscribe to our YouTube channel to get notified of them as we upload them. We send out a weekly email with the move of the week to our students. Along with the news of things happening in the studio.

We plan to develop the series into a Help you practise, complete with work books and helpful tips. Where non-studio members can subscribe and learn along with our studio members.

This is of course still in it’s planning stages, so remember to sign up for our newsletter so that you can be the first to hear about it when we launch later this year. For now our monthly newsletter features one of our blogs and news of things the public can participate in in our studio.

Melanie Wallis

Melanie started dancing and performing for Janka’s Oriental Dance Studio in 2006.  Under the mentorship of Janka Kliment, Melanie began her training to become an Oriental Dance teacher in 2008 and completed it under Asja Samia in 2011.  Melanie is also a certified health and fitness instructor.   Following Janka’s return to Slovakia in 2013, Melanie and Jessica chose to carry forward the vision of their friend and mentor.  They purchased the studio and continue to teach the art and beauty of the dance to all aspiring belly dancers.
